Alkyd Resin is the result of the esterification reaction of a polyol
and a polyacid and a monovalent fatty acid.
In fact, alkyd resin is a polyester with a monovalent fatty acid in
their structure.
Alkyd resins dividing into three types of long oil, medium oil and
short oil depending on the oil length and are used in various
industries including construction paints, decorative paints,
corrosion-resistant primers, varnishes and inks, furnace paints,
automotive paints, etc.
