Concrete Additives

Application:
Most concrete additives are chemicals which are added in the
concrete mixing process, in various amounts up to 5% of the
weight of cement to change some of its characteristics in a
desirable way.
Consumption of additives in cement is usually low and is
measured as its weight.
Additives are of various types.
Improving efficiency, accelerating or delaying in setting time,
increasing resistance against freezing, thermal cracking, alkaline
expansion of aggregates and acidic and sulfate solutions are the
reasons behind using additives in cement.
