The Speed Camera measures speed of cars by using one sensor, in multiple-
lane format and in all-weather conditions with 98% precision.
AIMS control, for the first time, has used one radar sensor to cover several
lanes.
Over 220 cameras have so far been installed in Tehran. It has reduced
accidents up to 800 cases per year.
It is able to analyze movements of all cars and shows the speed of vehicles

moving below the speed limit with a clear green image and vehicles moving
above the speed limit with a clear photo in red.
The output power of its radar sensor is about 5 milli watts, which is the
highest environmental standard of the European Union for traffic
speedometer radars.
Each system operates as an independent station which does all calculations
and savings locally.
It also saves all information and photos for one year and they will be
available if necessary.
If the communication network is disconnected, the system will not be
disrupted.
