The 20 Regional
Technomart was
founded in West
Azerbaijan

With the presence of the Innovation Deputy
of Pardis Technology Park;
The regional technomart of West Azerbaijan
officially started its activity at the science
and technology park of this province and
with the attendance of the Innovation
Deputy of Pardis Technology Park and the
Governor of West Azerbaijan.
According to the Public Relations Dept. of
Pardis Technology Park, Mohammad Saleh
Khaleghi, Iran's National Technomart
Expert, asserted that West Azerbaijan's
science and technology park was the

custodian of the 20 Regional Technomart,
and he further added that, “the opening
ceremony of this center was accompanied
by closing a two-year collaboration contract,
which can be extended based on the
existing circumstances and capabilities of
the regional technomart.”
Referring to the approval of the internal by-
law of West Azerbaijan province technomart
at the first meeting of the regional
coordination council of this province, Mr.
Khaleghi added, “All the regional
technomarts have a coordination council
consisting of 11 members including the
managers from public authorities and

representatives from several private
sectors, which are responsible for
investigating and making decisions in
respect of the programs and activities of
the technomart of that particular region.”
He noted that, “We are determined to
nd
inaugurate the 2 location for the
settlement technomart at the Urmia
University in addition to West Azerbaijan
Science & Technology Park.”
Regarding the scope of activities of West
Azerbaijan's Regional Technomart, Iran's
National Technomart' expert noted that,
“Marketing for technological products,
attracting capital and transferring
technology are expected to be the major
activities of this center, and with regard to
the capacities of the province and the very
short period of time passed since the
inauguration of this center, we expect the
pertinent authorities to put public relations
and development of the name of
technomart, in order for the familiarity of
inventors, technologists, knowledge-based
companies and executive tribunals into its
agenda.
Khaleghi enumerated that, “Until 1404
(2025), all the provinces nationwide will
have a regional technomart office, and all
the Grade A fields of the National Scientific
Comprehensive Plan will have specialized
technomarts.”
The opening ceremony of West Azerbaijan's
Regional Technomart was held with the
presence of the managers of the
governmental and private sector authorities
of West Azerbaijan active in science and National
technology, Managers of Iran Small
Industries and Industrial Parks
Organization, Chamber of Commerce, Techmarts
University Presidents and Professors as well
as knowledge-based and technology Network
companies on 23 Apr. 2019.
